Expected Within the normal or expected value range. Does not exceed the advisory or informational threshold.

Favorite Page directly accessed from SPAS or the Internet Explorer browser.

Flag Combination of a certificate holder and performance measure definition. Provides a representation of the certificate holder’s performance status at the maturity month.

Flag Display Representation of data for your certificate holder. Made up of folders and flags in a hierarchical structure.

Flag Explanation Text description explaining when a flag entered a certain status and why. Explains which threshold resulted in the flag status.

Flag Level Bottom level of a flag display. (Level where flags are visible.)

Flag Views Different ways to view a flag, such as graph, table, etc. Options available depend upon the type of performance measure (air operator, aircraft, or air agency).

Flag Wizard Tool that lets you automatically create a flag display.

Folder A group of items organized together. Shows the most serious flag and acknowledgment status of its underlying items.

Forward After pressing the Back button, returns to the previous page you viewed.

Graph Graphical representation of the data that shows the performance measure values over time for a certificate holder (air operator and aircraft).

Group Threshold Threshold that compare a certificate holder against the performance of its peers. Available only for large air operators.

Home Page Main page of SPAS.

Hot-Spot Graphic A graphic that displays a page with additional information relating to the topic you were viewing when you clicked on the graphic. When you move your cursor over a hot-spot graphic, the cursor changes to a hand pointer.

Icon A picture representing an application, document, or item. Examples include SPAS, My Computer, etc.

Informational Outside the expected value range, in the opposite sense of the advisory threshold. Exceeds the informational threshold. Defined only for certain performance measures.

Internet Computer network that connects computers across the world and provides communications among them.

Internet Explorer Browser developed by Microsoft and used by SPAS. Used to view web sites on the public Internet and intranets.

Intranet Internal web sites that are private (such as SPAS).

Item A single object in the SPAS display (such as a flag or folder, etc.).
