Novosibirsk / Tolmachevo (UNNT / OVB) The city is the third-largest city in Russia and has the largest railway station along the trans-Siberian route. The terrain is relatively flat within 25 miles of the airport. The runway is 11,808 ft. in length and has an ILS instrument approaches in both directions. There are obstacles south of the airport (1195). Population 1,400,00. 12.3.9 Petropavlovsk / Yelizovo (UHPP /PKC) This airport is located in Eastern Siberia on the Kamchatka Peninsula. The mountain peaks and volcanoes surrounding Petropavlosk-Kamchatsky constitute the major obstructions in the vicinity of the airport. The volcano and mountains are northeast of the airport. The highest peak is 3420 m (11220 ft). The terrain Southwest of the airport reaches a height of 4,052 ft. The runway is in the valley in a North Northwest, South Southeast direction. The ILS approach to runway 34 is from over the bay and has no terrain. The terrain Northwest of the airport is also low hills in a valley, and in order to protect the approaches, the pattern altitudes are 6,040 ft.
