Equivalent Terms: Cruise Relief Officer (CRO), Relief Pilot. Cycle, Aircraft Operating A completed take-off and landing sequence. Cycle, Engine Operating A completed engine thermal cycle including the application of take off power. Cycles Since Installation (CSI) Engine cycles accumulated since the engine was last installed. Cycles Since New (CSN) Engine cycles the engine has accumulated since new. Cycles Since Overhaul (CSO) Engine cycles accumulated since the engine was last overhauled. D Dangerous Goods (DG) Articles or substances capable of posing a risk to health, safety, property or the environment when transported by air, and which are classified as such in the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR). Accessible Dangerous Goods – shipments required to be loaded onto an aircraft in/on a special dangerous goods container or pallet in a manner that permits access by a crew member in flight Inaccessible Dangerous Goods – shipments loaded onto an aircraft with non-dangerous goods shipments; not required to be accessible by a crew member in flight. Equivalent Terms: Hazardous Materials Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) A document (manual) published by IATA in order to provide procedures for the shipper and the operator by which articles and substances with hazardous properties can be safely transported by air on commercial flights. |
