The following provides descriptions of the various Product Support Engineering (PSE) documents.

ALERT SERVICE BULLETINS (ASB)

Alert Service Bulletins are issued to cover all matters requiring the urgent attention of operators concerning safety of flight, critical maintenance or changes to Airworthiness Limitations. Compliance with all Alert Service Bulletins is considered mandatory by Bell Helicopter.

The content within an Alert Service Bulletin can supplement, override or replace existing instructions or data within any document issued by Commercial Technical Publications (i.e. FMs, MMs, IPBs, etc.).

OPERATIONAL SAFETY NOTICES (OSN)

Operational Safety Notices are issued to advise operators of safety of flight issues, critical operations/maintenance issues and accident information. Normally, technical compliance information will not be published in an Operational Safety Notice.

Operational Safety Notices can be issued against a specific model of helicopter and General Operational Safety Notices (OSN GEN) are issued against the entire fleet of helicopters.
