1  Performance, CG and documentation  Checked 
2  Hatches and Harnesses  Secure, even those not occupied 
3  HYD TEST button (on collective)  Press for about 2 seconds to depressurise the yaw hydraulic accumulator which will centre the yaw pedals. 
4  Flight controls  Check cyclic neutral and collective in low pitch, with frictions adjusted as required, and lock on. You can't do much of a full and free check (and neither should you try) because the droop stops are there. 
5  Rotor brake  Released – forward 
6  Fuel shutoff lever  Lockwired and forward 
7  Fuel Flow  Off 
8  Battery Switch  On. These should illuminate: HYD, GEN, MGB.P, PITOT, ENG.P. BAT comes on as well if you are on external power. Check the battery voltage. 
9  Warning lamps  Test – FIRE light will take a second to come on 
10  Bleed Valve  Flag visible on NG indicator 
11  Hydraulic pressure  On (if isolated, the HORN light will come on) 
12  Heating, demister, air conditioning  Off
