AMM means the then current revision of the aircraft maintenance manual issued by the Manufacturer. Applicable Law means: (a) any law, statute, decree, constitution, regulation, authorisation, judgment, injunction or other directive of any Government Entity; (b) any treaty, pact, compact or other agreement to which any Government Entity is a signatory or party; or (c) any judicial or administrative interpretation with binding characteristics or application of those described in (a) or (b) above, and in each case, which is applicable to the Aircraft or its use or operation, the Lessee, any Permitted Sublessee or the Lease Documents. Approved Maintenance Performer means (i) any maintenance performer that is approved by Aviation Authority to perform maintenance on commercial aircraft of the same model as the Aircraft (or relevant Airframe, Engine or Part), in respect of any maintenance work other than any major maintenance (6Y Check, 12Y check and redelivery C check, Engine, APU shop visits and landing gear overhauls) during the Lease Period, and (ii) any maintenance performer that is approved by both (X) FAA and Aviation Authority or (Y) EASA and Aviation Authority in respect of any major maintenance (6Y Check, 12Y check and redelivery C check, Engine, APU shop visits and landing gear overhauls) during the Lease Period; APU means the auxiliary power unit installed in the Airframe on the Delivery Date (or such auxiliary power unit as may be substituted therefor after the Delivery Date in accordance with the requirements of this Agreement and title to which is transferred to Owner and (if applicable) subject to the Mortgage). APU Hour means, with respect to the APU, each hour or part thereof of the operation of the APU as recorded by the APU electronic control unit and/or APU logbook. Assignment of Insurance means the assignment of insurance entered into, or to be entered into, as the context may require, between Lessee and Lessor in respect of the benefits and proceeds of insurances (excluding any liability insurance) in respect of the Aircraft required to be maintained under this Agreement, together with an acknowledgement to the notice of the assignment by the insurer or insurance broker. Aviation Authority means CAAC, or any successor thereof, and any other person or Governmental Entity which from time to time has control over civil aviation or the registration, airworthiness or operation of aircraft in the Country of Registration. Basic APU Shop Visit means, with respect to the APU, a medium repair shop visit certified by EASA which results in the restoration of the hot section of the APU (which should include turbine assembly) in accordance with the APU manufacturer’s inspection and repair manual. Basic Engine Shop Visit means any overhaul, refurbishment or restoration of an Engine, which as aminimum includes a complete refurbishment or full overhaul of the high pressure compressor, highpressure turbine module and combustion section module of the relevant Engine, accomplished inaccordance with the Engine Manufacturer's Engine Maintenance Management Plan applicable to theEngine. |
